A fun day Fund-raising

A typical day of riding! Actually we haven't had to many with work and weather, but if the weather stays on our side, wow, it really works. We were out on a scavenger hunt with a group of friends and had to stop along the way to look for different items or do different things. Anyway whenever we stopped people would horde around us, first to look at our bikes and then of course us in our pink blinged leathers. They would ask if they could have their picture taken with us. That was was when it all started to come back to me.. We can make a dollar from each person that stops us, we might come home with a couple bucks for the cause. Wow did that work. We came home with almost $300.00 We also blinged out some Breast Cancer Magnets and if anyone gave us $10.00 we would give a magnet.  It was an absolute blast. One fella came with his big huge fancy camera and his wife had the big circle thing that reflected light even... We were having our own photo op, right on the Oceanside. The guy didn't want to stop. Look this way, look that way. He apologized for being so excited. God only knows where these pics will end up. All ages of people wanted pics with us. Even the young studs, it was crazy. Fancy looks at me after and said, omg, I feel like a celebrity. I told her to get used to it because it will get worse, or better depending how you look at it.
A funny story when we were in the mall, buying something pink, and of course the questions start and the story comes out. This young buck, looks over at us and says....You lady's I bet you are out there on trikes aren't you? Now nothing about trikes,,, I love them, but he is thinking we were too old to ride 2 wheels. My should go back, I feel the frown coming, and wanted to say..... young man, I am going to Trike you in a minute....lol So you should have seen the look on his face when we told  him we road Hogs...Ha!!
So off we go to the Coombs market to finish our Scavenger Hunt. It was so busy in there we had to ride ever so slow and the people were smiling and whistling and thumbs upping, and snapping pics. It was like we were a 2man parade..  We pull up infront of this cool little store and everyone from inside the store came out and people were swarming around again.  Again, we share out stories and the guys even were totally impressed. One lady walks up and says I love you, I am a survivor and I found $40 bucks on the ground today and I want you to have it.. Another guy gave us $40. We were there for a good 45 minutes with people handing us cash and taking pics. We never go anywhere with out some token gifts to say thank you.
We were telling them to watch for us on the news tomorrow night, handing out our cards with the website, and email address. People are going to mail in their pics and I hope to get them on the web. I wish I had taken pics of the groups, it just caught me off guard. Fancy and I decided, it is pink and nothing but, from here on in, when we are out on the road.
Can you just imagine when we get the bigger groups going. So ladies... when you are out on the Conga, where lots of pink, smile lots, and if someone smiles back, that means they are interested in whats up. The will pull out some change and donated to the cause. Be sure to carry a bag for all the money lol.

I get so excited for you each and every time you post something. I would so love to join you on the Conga run, but have a fund raiser putting together for AHA the following week, gonna be in a panic then. What a wonderful event this is going to be and you have put so much into it, know it's going to be a huge success. I will continue checking in and cheer you on. I wear my Breast Cancer patch, pins and BELIEVE head wrap when ever I ride. Be Safe!
